NAIDOC Perth 2026
NAIDOC Perth proudly hosts four major events across May, June and July each year to celebrate the rich history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in Western Australia.
National NAIDOC Week
50 Years of Deadly
In 2026, we celebrate an extraordinary milestone - 50 Years of Deadly.
For five decades, NAIDOC Week has recognised and celebrated the strength, resilience, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. What began as a movement for recognition and justice has grown into a nationwide celebration of the world's oldest continuing cultures, while never losing sight of the journey still ahead.
50 Years of Deadly honours the generations of Elders, leaders, activists, artists, communities and young people who have shaped the path before us. Their courage, determination and unwavering connection to Country and culture have created a legacy that continues to inspire and empower.
As we celebrate this remarkable anniversary, we reflect on the achievements of the past, recognise the strength of our communities today, and look towards a future where culture continues to thrive, languages are strengthened, and the next generations proudly carry our stories forward.
NAIDOC Week is more than a celebration. It is an opportunity for all Australians to come together to learn, honour and celebrate the rich histories, cultures and contributions of First Nations peoples.
Join us as we celebrate 50 Years of Deadly and the people, stories and communities that have made NAIDOC what it is today.
